The Walthers Cornerstone Sawmill Outbuildings are perfect for adding to 1950s and later sawmill operations. This set of structures, designed as accessories for the Mountain Lumber Co. Saw Mill (933-3058, sold separately), includes four complete buildings, typical of the equipment installed at saw mills and other businesses that generate wood chips and waste. The Log Debarker is the first stop for logs heading into the mill. Inside, the bark is ground away, producing more useful timber with less waste material. A quick pass through the Wood Chipper reduces scrap lumber and bark into woodchips. The lightweight chips are blown through pipes to the chip loaders for shipment to paper mills and other users. The kit includes a Rail Car Wood Chip Loader with its special equipment for loading wood chip hoppers and gondolas, available separately. The Truck Wood Chip Loader comes complete with gravity-feed storage bin and blower details.
