This Kato N Scale EMD F7 A-B Set is based on one of the most widely used EMD Cab units ever built. Over 2200 F7A units and 1400 cabless F7B units hauled freight and passenger runs beginning in 1949 into the 1970s and early 1980s. The 1,500-horsepower untis were versatile and could be found handling road freights and branchline locals, as well as passenger trains.
